This adventure blends the peaceful ambiance of the valley with the thrilling challenge of the trail. With every step, the anticipation grows—culminating in the unforgettable sight of the world-renowned Machu Picchu. Get ready to immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of culture, history, and nature, woven into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Itinerary

Day 1     Sacred Valley Tour

Your adventure begins with an early morning hotel pick-up. The first stop is Pisaq, where you’ll explore impressive Inca ruins and a lively traditional market. A scenic 45-minute hike enhances the experience as you discover this historical gem.

The journey continues to Ollantaytambo, home to another fascinating archaeological site and vibrant local market. After another enriching 45-minute hike, enjoy a delicious lunch in Urubamba before heading back to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll spend the night in this charming Andean town.


Day 2    Ollantaytambo – Km.104 – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu

After breakfast, board a train for a stunning 1-hour and 14-minute ride to Km 104. Cross the scenic Urubamba River and begin your guided hike, starting with a visit to the Chachabamba archaeological site.

As you ascend through the lush Andean cloud forest, take in breathtaking views, vibrant orchids, birdsong, and tranquil waterfalls. After approximately three hours, you’ll arrive at Wiñay Wayna—an exceptionally preserved Inca site where you’ll enjoy a guided tour followed by a well-earned lunch.

The trail then continues for a couple more hours toward the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you’ll witness your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu at sunset—an unforgettable sight. A bus ride takes you down to Aguas Calientes, where a cozy hostel provides a peaceful night’s rest.


Day 3     Machu Picchu – Cusco

Rise early to catch one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. A 2-hour guided tour will lead you through the citadel’s most significant areas, offering deep insights into its history and architecture.

If you wish, you’ll also have free time to explore on your own or take on one of the optional hikes (not included in the tour price):

  • Huayna Picchu

  • Machu Picchu Mountain
    Both offer spectacular views from above and must be reserved in advance due to limited availability.

After your visit, descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll board the Expedition train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, a private van will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
