Day 1 Cusco – Km 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu
From your hotel in Cusco, we’ll pick you up and begin a scenic 2-hour drive to the train station in Ollantaytambo. From there, enjoy a picturesque 1 hour and 14-minute train ride to Kilometer 104—the official starting point of your adventure. Crossing the enchanting Urubamba River, we’ll begin a guided exploration of the Chachabamba archaeological site. As we ascend, each step reveals more breathtaking views of the Andean landscape.
The journey takes us deep into the heart of the neo-tropical cloud forest, a vibrant ecosystem alive with the gentle beauty of wild orchids, the songs of native birds, and the mesmerizing presence of cascading waterfalls.
