We’ll begin by picking you up from your accommodation or from the United Mice office. After a 45-minute drive, we’ll arrive at Qorao, a scenic overlook with breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. From there, we’ll head to Pisac. This traditional market, bustling with locals and travelers alike, still preserves its authentic charm. Next, we’ll ascend to the Inca ruins above Pisac, which showcase some of the finest Inca architecture in the region. These ruins once served as a defensive stronghold and feature significant religious structures such as the Temple of the Sun.
Our journey continues to Urubamba, where we’ll stop for lunch. Then we’ll travel on to Ollantaytambo, a charming town with ancient roots. Its streets, lined with original Inca stonework, offer glimpses into historic urban planning. Ollantaytambo also hosts impressive ruins that bring to life the legend of the rebel leader Ollanta and the Incas’ resistance against the Spanish.
Our final stop is Chinchero. Once a thriving population center, it is now a picturesque Andean village. The Sunday market is vibrant, and the panoramic views—especially of the Vilcabamba mountain range—are truly stunning. Here, you’ll find an Inca wall with large niches and a Spanish colonial church built atop Inca foundations. The area also contains carved rocks and what is believed to be a possible mummy burial site. As the afternoon fades, we’ll return to Cusco.
